United Airlines Inflight Service App

United Airlines came to us to create an app specifically for flight attendants. The app streamlines the process of tracking passenger inventory, ensuring real-time updates and an intuitive interface that enhances efficiency during flights. We’ve refined these designs to align with United’s operational needs, and they have now been sent to their developers for implementation.

Streamlining the Flight Attendant Experience

I collaborated closely with the UX team, technology partners, and United Airlines stakeholders to design seamless user flows and scenarios for this app.

My role involved conducting user testing, doing in-depth research, and holding user interviews to gain a thorough understanding of the needs and challenges faced by flight attendants.

Using these insights, I created detailed user mapping and workflows that addressed pain points while enhancing operational efficiency. By bridging the gap between user feedback and design solutions, I ensured the app met the needs of both its users and the organization.

Creating a scalable design system

Using Figma, I developed a comprehensive and scalable design system that would integrate seamlessly with United’s existing design guidelines. The design system was crafted to support the app’s extensive functionality while ensuring consistency, accessibility, and a cohesive user experience across the platform.

It features a library of reusable components, typography, color palettes, and interaction patterns, optimized for both flexibility and future growth. Once finalized, the design system was handed off to the United team for ongoing use and updates, providing them with a robust foundation to maintain and enhance the app as it evolves.
